Donte' Stallworth's $6 million option bonus is due February 25.
He'll likely become a free agent on that date. Stallworth's agent is likely already guaging interest. If the Pats were to pay the option, they'd be on the hook for a total of $5 million more, including his $1 million salary. |

Profootballtalk.com reports the Patriots have informed Donte' Stallworth that they will not pay his $6 million option bonus on February 25.
He'll become a free agent. This makes it slightly more likely that Randy Moss will be franchised, although Stallworth was never going to get the bonus anyways. Stallworth drew strong interest from the Titans last offseason and still have a big need at wideout. |
